My boyfriend just bought a used 2008 Honda CHL in Costa Rica. Is this the same motorcycle as the XL? Or would he need a different manual? (Sometimes the names of vehicles are different, but it is the same model just under another name). Is this the case? Thank you very much.

for your XL125 manual, is that a genuine Honda Manual, or is it Clymer or Haynes type manual?

Just to be clear, this manual does not cover models earlier than the XL125S. The esrlier models, including the 1976 K version that I’m working on have no CDI ignition and are different in a variety of ways.
If you XL has points (contact breaker) based ignition, this is not the manual you need.
Disappointed,,,,,,,,, this does not cover the 1974-78 xl125 in regards to timing and such.
THIS is for newer XL125 engines! So beware……… I made a mistake since I am interested in the timing of my 1974 XL125. This manual shows very different scheme for this.
